{"id":21247,"date":"2025-05-22T08:00:37","date_gmt":"2025-05-22T06:00:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fuchswater.com\/?p=21247"},"modified":"2025-05-22T08:04:21","modified_gmt":"2025-05-22T06:04:21","slug":"visit-to-the-lagoon-treatment-plant-in-oshakati-namibia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fuchswater.com\/en\/visit-to-the-lagoon-treatment-plant-in-oshakati-namibia\/","title":{"rendered":"Visit to the lagoon treatment plant in Oshakati, Namibia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As part of the FMRTS-funded development project WaReNam (Water Reuse Nambia), a visit to the lagoon treatment plant in the town of Oshakati in northern Namibia took place, in which employees of TU Darmstadt also took part.<\/p>\n<p>A pilot plant for advanced wastewater treatment will be built here in the near future. The pilot plant, consisting of a trickling filter, pile cloth media filter and UV system, is intended to show how wastewater can be treated for agricultural use.<\/p>\n<p>Meetings were held with the project partners, including the Town Council of Oshakati, the Institute for Social-Ecological Research (ISOE) GmbH and the University of Namibia, to coordinate the upcoming project steps.<\/p>\n<p>FUCHS Enprotec GmbH is involved in the design of the trickling filter and the construction of the pilot plant.
