FUCHS aerators impress at the UPM Fray Bentos pulp mill, Uruguay

FUCHS and its partner ECOWATT S.A. visited the UPM Fray Bentos pulp mill in Uruguay, where eight OxyStar® aerators have been providing reliable aeration and process stability in pre-treatment for nine years.

In June 2025, FUCHS and our Argentinian partner ECOWATT S.A. visited the UPM Fray Bentos pulp mill in Uruguay. The state-of-the-art facility, located directly on the border with Argentina, produces around 1.3 million tonnes of pulp annually for export to Europe and Asia.
In two large mixing and equalisation basins, eight FUCHS OxyStar® aerators have been providing reliable aeration for nine years and ensure process stability in the pre-treatment stage. The machines stand out for their low operating costs, high reliability and almost maintenance-free design.
