Upgrade of an existing lagoon system with the NitriStar system
An existing lagoon system was upgraded with the NitriStar system of OxyStar aerators and NitriStar modules: total nitrogen fell by 85% and BOD removal improved significantly.
Through retrofitting with the NitriStar system, a combination of OxyStar aerators and NitriStar modules, targeted nitrification and denitrification were enabled in an existing pond treatment plant.
The result is a reduction in total nitrogen of 85%. BOD removal was also improved significantly.
All parties involved, the customer, the responsible authorities and the commissioned planning office, are very satisfied with the improved performance of the modernized plant.
