Prevent odour during sludge storage
Sewage sludge is an extremely reactive medium. Prolonged storage in liquid form in particular can lead to unpleasant odour development that is not only a nuisance to neighbours. Aerating the sludge inhibits the formation of digestion gases and keeps the sludge fresh. Additional treatment of the exhaust air in expensive odour control plants is not required.
Existing storage tanks can be retrofitted with FUCHS Centrox Aerators with foam control. They provide aeration and circulation of the sludge while simultaneously limiting foam. Open tanks with varying filling levels can also be equipped with FUCHS Aerators. Installation on floats keeps them at the required height at all times.
