Expansion of the Gurye wastewater treatment plant, South Korea
After the reliable operation of FUCHS equipment, the Gurye wastewater treatment plant in South Korea was expanded to 6,500 m³/day with OxyStar aerators and TurboStar mixers.
The Gurye wastewater treatment plant treats domestic wastewater and originally had a capacity of 5,500 m³/day. Due to the successful replacement of brush aerators and the reliable operation of FUCHS aerators and mixers in the existing plant, the operators decided to use OxyStar aerators and TurboStar mixers for the expansion project.
The expansion increased the total capacity to 6,500 m³/day. This was achieved by adding two additional oxidation ditches: one for aerobic treatment equipped with OxyStar aerators and one for anoxic treatment with TurboStar mixers. After a comprehensive test period, operation of the expansion started on 1 May 2024.
