Industrial Estate (Thailand)
Eastern Industrial Estate, Thailand – A Long-Term Partnership in Wastewater Treatment Since 2000, FUCHS has maintained a close working relationship with the Eastern Industrial Estate in Thailand. Over more than two decades, this partnership has shaped the step-by-step expansion and technical modernisation of the site's industrial wastewater treatment facilities. Incremental Expansion from 5,000 m³/d to 60,000 m³/d When the collaboration began, the Eastern Industrial Estate's wastewater treatment plant operated at a capacity of 5,000 m³/d. As the industrial estate grew and effluent volumes increased, the treatment capacity was systematically extended in successive stages, ultimately reaching 60,000 m³/d. Each expansion phase was planned and implemented to ensure continuous plant operation without significant interruptions to ongoing treatment processes. Replacement of Fault-Prone Equipment A central element of the modernisation programme was the replacement of existing aeration equipment that had proven susceptible to operational failures. To address this, FUCHS introduced OxyStar© and Centrox aerators as reliable alternatives. Both systems were selected for their operational stability and suitability for the specific treatment conditions present at the Eastern Industrial Estate. Their integration into the existing plant infrastructure allowed for a technically sound transition while maintaining treatment performance throughout the process. A Basis for Long-Term Operational Reliability The ongoing collaboration between FUCHS and the Eastern Industrial Estate illustrates how industrial wastewater treatment infrastructure can be developed incrementally over time. By combining phased capacity expansion with the targeted replacement of underperforming components, the plant has been brought to a scale and level of technical reliability appropriate to the demands of a large industrial estate.
