Leather industry

The wastewater from leather production contains dissolved lime from the liming, tannin salts, organic pollutants and mostly a lot of nitrogen. The treatment is carried out through sieving, detoxification (chromium salts, sulphides) and biological treatment in an activated sludge plants with nitrification and denitrification. The robust FUCHS aerators also work reliably when lime precipitates and forms crusts.
