Petrochemical sector
Wastewater from the petrochemical industry contains hydrocarbons and often reduced sulfur compounds. In a first step, free and emulsified oils and fats are removed from the wastewater. Turbo flotation is particularly suitable for this, with setting the required pH value and adding flocculants. The organic pollution and the oxidation of the sulfur compounds takes place in aerated lagoons or in an activated sludge plants with proven FUCHS aerators.
